Sipowitz was just more interesting as a drunk. I'm not burned out because I've
seen in a million times. The drunk Sipowitz was simply more interesting and a
better character than sober Andy

All you need is a new group of uniforms and a
Sergeant Andy Sipowicz as the platoon patrol
boss. It could have worked for Bill Dornan.
What better way for Andy to take Bobby Simone's
"most recent advice" and be a teacher in an
official sense...?

Cameos by Bale, Martens, etc...

Kinda like Law and Order -- SVU. All you needed
there was Captain Donald Cragen and some "transitional
help" from the Main Line.
